Design, prepare, and analyze patient data cohorts and associated samples
We are offering an exciting internship opportunity for a motivated student to contribute to a collaborative project between SCK CEN and the Institut Jules Bordet, focusing on ovarian cancer research within the Nuclear Medicine department.
The goal of the project is to design, prepare, and analyze patient data cohorts and associated samples, making use of clinical databases and tools to support translational and clinical research. The internship will be based within a multidisciplinary environment, with close interactions with clinicians, nuclear medicine specialists, and pathologists.
Key objectives

Assist in the design and curation of clinical patient samples and data cohorts related to ovarian cancer.

Explore and use clinical databases and analytical tools for data extraction and processing.

Contribute to data analysis and interpretation in support of ongoing research questions.

Collaborate with medical professionals, including doctors and pathologists, to ensure clinical relevance of the datasets.
Profile of the candidate

Background in (bio)medical sciences, (radio)pharmacy, or a related field.

Basic knowledge of oncology and interest in cancer research.

Familiarity with clinical data, databases, and research tools is a plus.

Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary and clinical setting.

Working knowledge (written and oral) of both French and English is required to explore patient data.
