These products are materials derived from the nuclear fuel cycle and the production of medical radioisotopes, which play a vital role in cancer research and treatment. These techniques are used for both solutions and solid materials.

You will be responsible for:

  • Designing, conducting and optimising radiochemical experiments as part of the development, construction and commissioning of the new RECUMO production facility at SCK CEN.
  • Construction, optimisation and testing of the chemical process set-ups within glove boxes and hot cells for the production phase of RECUMO.
  • Organising and performing physicochemical analyses, processing and managing data, and reporting measurement results.
  • Management of process equipment from acquisition through to implementation. Writing QA documents, work instructions and maintenance procedures.
  • Overall management of the laboratories, including monitoring chemical stocks, processing orders, maintaining safety, order and cleanliness, and ensuring waste disposal in compliance with regulations.
